Pafos, situated on the south-west coast of Cyprus is the capital of the district, and historically one of the most important centers on the island. Together with Palai-Paphos (modern Kouklia) they illustrate some of the most glorious moments of the island history from the time of the Trojan wars. The Roman capital of Cyprus, Pafos was famous in antiquity, for two main reasons: its association with the cult of Aphrodite and the spread of Christianity. In fact, this was the role of Pafos, and this is the importance of his ancient remains that in 1981 the places of Palai-Paphos and Nea Pafos were placed on the list of World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.

When you start exploring Paphos (also wtiteen Pafos) from the outskirts of Petra tou Romiou, where Aphrodite was born from the foam of the sea, you understand the reason for its existence on Earth. Pafos is a place specially created for holidays. In the surroundings of Pafos, the city of Pafos, Yeroskipou, Peyia, Polis Chrysohous and the whole landscape with its colorful tradition is the visitor enchanted by the wonders of the special gifts of nature. This part of the island has all the elements of a perfect holiday resort, small sandy beaches, which are at the top of the list of some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Europe, accommodations for all budgets, entertainment for all tastes and endless sports activities of all ages.

In addition there is a beautiful subtropical climate, in which the seasons differ wonderfully. Spring signals colorful splashes of flowers, fruits and fauna. In summer, the wonderful beaches of Pafos invite you to sunbathe and swim in the clear Mediterranean. Autumn is the perfect time to enjoy the sheer, natural beauty of the Akamas Peninsula where the delicate balance of nature is kept intact. Winter is subtly cooler and within half an hour from Pafos the Troodos mountains offer the opportunity for excellent skiing. Here in Pafos live the purest traditions of Cyprus.

But it is also a land of striking contrasts. Everywhere the past is with the present. The Dionysos wine mosaics, the fascinating tombs of the kings, the 16th century fortress in the picturesque fishing port, Byzantine-painted churches, cathedrals and museums are just some of the splendid attractions that have been celebrated for centuries.

In the larger area of Paphos there are three golfcousres. Of these, Aphrodite Hills Golf Club is already internationally known for its fine design and high service quality, despite the fact that it was only recently in operation. We at Pandream Hotel Apartments cooperate with this magnificent golf course and can arrange your golfing here while you enjoy your stay with us!
